Power Boat Instructor

5 Day practical course is a mixture of classroom, land drills and scenarios on the water sessions. 
Assessment is continuous through the course with mid course debrief to ensure participents know their progression throughout the 5 days.
The course is run by an ISA Powerboat Trainer with a one day moderation by a second Powerboat Trainer
I.S.A.courses are run in I.S.A. Recognised Teaching Centres.

Curriculum :
  • The course will cover, how to teach Powerboating
  • Taking a skill, breaking it down to its core parts, to develop methods to teach the skill.
  • Teaching a skill in a step by step progressive way.
  • Learning how to plan and deliver a powerboat course.
  • Teaching the ISA Powerboat scheme to include National Powerbaot Certificate. 
  • Getting the know the ISA system
Prerequisites :
  • Minimum of 17 years within 6 months of completion of course.
  • Recommendation from Club Officer or Centre Principal.
  • Power Boat Pre Entry completed in the past 12 months.

  • ISA Powerboat Instructor Certificate valid for 3 years. 
  • Qualified to teach
  • ISA Introduction to Powerboating
  • ISA National Power Boat Certificate
