Curriculum :

• The specially designed course with a focus on the outdoors and marine environment.
• The curriculum follows the REC program to include 
• Accident proceedure
• Basic Life Support
• Bleeding and Bandaging 
• Fractures, Strains, Sprains and Dislocations
• Head Injury and Concussion and eye injuries
• Common Medical Emergencies, Medical Conditions, Choking, Poisoning 
• Cold Water emmersions and Near Drowning
• Hypo and Hyperthermia
• Handling a suspected back injury
• The course is run using practical hands on sessions and scenarios  combined with of essential backgound theory 

Prerequisites :

• No previous experience needed.

Qualifications :

• All Certificates are  valid for two years.
• Refresher course (one day course)
• An AED certificate, (training in the use of a defirillator) may be added if participents undergo an extra 1/2 day training.

Duration : 2 days or 4 sessions

Cost : €125 per person, group rates available Certificates cost € 10

Notes :

First Aid courses should be renewed every two years with a one day refresher course.
